William L. Kutmus has been an attorney for over 35 years, concentrating in the area of criminal defense. MARK PENNINGTON
Mark S. Pennington has been an attorney since 1975. Mr. Pennington developed his trial experience as an Assistant Polk County Attorney prosecuting nearly 100 jury trials including criminal charges with penalties of life imprisonment as well as serious sex abuse charges. Mr. Pennington left the prosecutor's office to enter private practice in 1979.
Mr. Pennington's private practice is restricted to the representation of people who have sustained personal injury through negligence and/or medical malpractice. Although he may handle perhaps one high-profile criminal case a year, the other 99 percent is limited to this area which allows him to specialize for the benefit of his clients. Mr. Pennington will not represent corporate defendants. Mr. Pennington has obtained significant verdicts in personal injury/medical negligence including several verdicts in excess of 1 million dollars.
TREVER T. HOOK
Trever T. Hook has been an attorney since 1995. Mr. Hook has been in private practice in the Des Moines area since 1997 with numerous criminal and civil trials. In criminal matters Mr. Hook has tried first degree murder cases, various sex abuse cases, drug cases, as well as misdemeanor cases including OWI charges. In civil matters Mr. Hook has handled cases for individuals with various injuries including traffic and motorcycle accident cases, truck accident cases, cases involving medical issues, and wrongful death issues. Mr. Hook handles criminal and civil cases in both the State and Federal system. Mr. Hook also handles cases involving injuries sustained at work.
Mr. Hook's private practice is restricted to representation of people who have been charged in criminal matters, sustained personal injury of various types, and work related injuries sustained by individuals. Mr. Hook restricts his practice to these areas so that he may specialize for the benefit of his clients.
